The origin story
A beautiful spirit of togetherness has emerged since the genocide ended in 1994. The Jabulani coffee represents a union on a global scale and the brand aims to continue supporting the revival, and survival of a nation through sharing their incredible story and championing coffee with purpose.
Working in partnership with local Devonshire creatives Christina Wilkins from Brand Biscuit Studio, and Tom Carder Media, the team flew to Rwanda in June of 2022 to capture and tell the remarkable story behind Jabulani Coffee. We hope the story inspires you as much as it does us. Feel free to leave comments on our YouTube channel or contact us for more information.

Not many people know how much physical labour goes into growing coffee beans. High altitude and organic growing conditions are only one half of what makes Specialty Coffee. Meticulous care and devotion by the women who work the plantation makes this coffee special.
Shade grown coffee farms avoids the deforestation which has been created by high-yield sun-grown coffee plantations.
Expanding opportunities to encourage global change
The partnership between local businesses Owens Coffee and the Diversity Business Incubator in Devon links communities together in a way that allows small businesses to support each other locally and bring essential knowledge and leadership to their connected communities both in the UK and in Africa.
The import and production of our Jabulani coffee is a collaborative step towards our vision. It will help us to develop a deeper understanding and connection between the people of Rwanda and the UK, expand opportunities for improving community leadership and enable future generations of leaders to benefit from shared resources, ideas and information, with the ultimate goal to encourage global change.
